Eco-Packaging.

What a fantastic idea……Turning brown grocery bags into packaging material.  I know most of us use reusable grocery bags by now.  But incase you forget them the next time you are at the grocery store, don’t fret.  You now have packaging material.  Read instructions on how to make them here.

My first CSA pick-up.

Today I picked up my first batch of 26.  Every week from now until November, I will be indulging in lots of fresh, organic, local produce.  I pulled up to my leader’s driveway to a garage full of Fresh.  I circled the perimeter of the garage to fill my box with some radishes, scallions, mushrooms, [...]

Dr. John’s Lollipops.

One for the kids……Every time I go to the dentist, I am reminded that I need to stock up on some of Dr. John’s Lollipops.  Olive’s pediatric dentist gives the kids one after they get a cavity filled or work done.  These Lollipops are sugar free and are proven to fight cavities.  Of course, moderation [...]

Lemons to Lemonade.

Such an easy concept.  Something alot of us forget how easy it is and resort to pre-made bottled juices.   About 5 juiced lemons, 3/4 gallon of purified water, a cup of cane sugar.  Wahlah!  Lemonade. Olive loves making it (and drinking it).  In a few weeks, she can have her first lemonade stand.

Spaghetti squash.

I have been enjoying the versatility of spaghetti squash since my gram introduced it to me over 15 years ago.  Super simple to steam.  And you could use as mock spaghetti, add salsa to it (or any of your favorite sauces), or just some EVOO/salt/pepper/garlic.  To be honest, it is yummy without anything added to [...]
