In all my glory.

This weekend we spent some time doing what I do best.  And love.  We piled the pack in the car and went to a few local thrift shops.  My favorite ones are the kind in the basement of a church.  The kind where it seems an old lady died and they filled the room with all of her treasures.  It is like the room is full of stories.  Years of memories.  The pyrex bowls that were used for two generations to make dough.  The cocktail rings that were worn and witnessed war stories.

The kids love going because they can bring money from their piggy bank and buy a few books (for 25 cents).

To top it off, my favorite shop that I frequent weekly was having their end of year sale (half off).  So we spent 10 bucks and got two bags full of stuff.  Ry got a few war pins.  I got muchos jewelry.  A few belts (another of my all time favorites to score at second hand shops).  A few scarves.  A few books.  A clutch.

Saying that I hit a gold mine is an understatement.  Looks like I may be adding to O & B vintage as soon as I get some spare time.  Now the tough part is deciding what I am willing to let go of…..  Right now I am focusing on getting some things together for a yardsale.
